
The aim of the lung screening programme is to detect lung cancer early, especially in people who are at risk, such as smokers or ex-smokers. Screening is done using low-dose computed tomography (CT), which is gentle for detecting tumors at an early stage when treatment is most effective.
The program is designed for:
- people aged 55 to 74 who have smoked more than 20 cigarettes a day for at least 20 years or 40 cigarettes a day for 10 years,
- former smokers who smoked 20 cigarettes a day for 20 years or 40 cigarettes a day for 10 years.

Ordering
Examinations are carried out only on the basis of a request from a pulmonary or general physician and after prior appointment:
- in person at the reception every Tuesday and Friday, 7:30-7:50 a.m
- electronically using the web form here
- by e-mail to plice@multiscan.cz
After receiving the application form, a receptionist will contact you to arrange an appointment.
What to bring
- a voucher for the examination (referral slip) from your lung or general practitioner
- early Detection of Lung Cancer Programme questionnaire (available from the specialist)
- insurance card (we have contracts with all health insurance companies)

- before the examination, do not eat and drink only water without bubbles
