History of the company

The Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre is a part of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre of the Pardubice Region, which was established at the end of 2005 thanks to the successful cooperation between the Pardubice Regional Hospital and the Multiscan Radiology Centre.

Multiscan started operating in the Pardubice Hospital in mid-2002. Since the beginning of 2003, it has taken over the outpatient care of patients in the Pardubice Region in the field of radiotherapy through its radiotherapy department in connection with the purchase and operation of a linear accelerator. In accordance with the concept of oncological care in the Pardubice Region, in 2005 the Multiscan Radiology Centre took over the operation of the clinical oncology outpatient clinic in Svitavy and in 2006 it took over the oncology outpatient clinics in Chrudim and Ústí nad Orlicí. In the same year it purchased and started operating a modern brachytherapy. On the initiative and with the financing of Multiscan, a modern inpatient section was built at the Pardubice Regional Hospital.

In the middle of 2009, in an effort to continuously improve the quality of care provided, the Department of Central Preparation of Cytostatics, a subsidiary of Multiscan Pharma s.r.o., started its operation. In this department, medicines are prepared for patients with oncological diseases under strict hygiene and safety measures for the clinical oncology outpatient clinics of Multiscan and the inpatient department of Pardubice Hospital.

In addition to oncology treatment, the company operates a radiodiagnostic centre, which has state-of-the-art equipment in the field of computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound and scanning.

Multiscan Pardubice belongs together with the Hospital Hořovice and the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun to the Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis AKESO holding a.s.
