Preparation of cytostatics (sterile medicinal products with cytotoxic effect)
In the pharmacy's specialist department - the Central Preparation of Cytostatics Department - sterile, highly effective medicinal products with a cytostatic effect are prepared for cancer patients under strict hygiene and safety measures.

The prepared medicinal products, which include classical cytostatics as well as targeted-acting (biological) drugs, are prepared according to the individual physician's request for a specific patient at the time of need. Their other characteristic is their relatively short stability and shelf life, which implies the necessity to prepare them in an aseptic pharmacy.
Medicinal products in infusions, infusers or syringes are prepared from concentrated liquid or solid formulations of drugs under conditions that ensure the quality of the drugs being prepared and, at the same time, the protection of the personnel involved in the preparation.
Preparation of sterile medicinal products
Sterile medicines which are not cytostatic are prepared in the Sterile Medicines Preparation Unit. Examples include the preparation/treatment of medicinal products having therapeutic support effects or reducing the side effects of cancer therapy.
Dispensing to health care providers
The pharmacy provides the dispensing of medicinal products on request for collaborating healthcare institutions.
Clinical-pharmaceutical care and advisory service
Pharmacy staff provide clinical-pharmaceutical and counselling services to collaborating healthcare facilities.
Full service for clinical trials
The Multiscan Pharma pharmacy provides comprehensive services for sponsors/intermediaries of clinical trials, including receipt, monitored storage, documentation, preparation of sterile drugs, dispensing, etc. The pharmacy is also able to provide subsequent temperature-monitored transport of investigational drugs.
