The Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre, which is the only facility in the Pardubice Region providing treatment and care for cancer patients, sees a greater increase in new patients each year than in previous years. In light of this and the constantly evolving services offered by our centre, there was a need to streamline the information and support provided to patients and their families.
The aim of setting up the ‘Info Corner’ is to provide maximum support and assistance to patients and their loved ones, so that their journey through cancer treatment is as smooth as possible. Our experience shows that after their first visit to the initial (consultation) outpatient clinic, patients are so overwhelmed by their emotions and the flood of new information that they find it difficult to remember everything. That is why an information point has been set up for both new and existing patients at our centre, where they can ask any questions and seek advice.

Educational materials
A list of educational booklets and leaflets is currently being prepared for you. We’ll be happy to provide you with all these materials free of charge at our Information Corner.
Events for patients
Our aim is to provide patients with a broader insight into the issues surrounding cancer, including education both before the onset of the disease and following cancer treatment. Through lectures, seminars and other events, we focus both on specialist topics and on activities closely related to a cancer diagnosis.
We strive to ensure that the oncology centre is not merely a place where people receive treatment. We therefore regularly organise, for example, lectures, exercise sessions and themed exhibitions in our conference hall, enabling patients to take their minds off things, at least for a short while.
