The renewal of instrumentation continues. Multiscan commissioned a new CT simulator for CZK 25 million

Multiscan has commissioned a new CT simulator Somatom go.Open Pro from Siemens Healthineers, Germany, for radiation oncology. The installation of the device was connected with the reconstruction of the facilities where the examination takes place.

The CT simulator is used for precise radiotherapy planning. The state-of-the-art device allows a detailed view of the examined areas. The wider opening of the gantry makes the examination more comfortable and accessible even for bulky patients.

The Somaton go.Open Pro is equipped with advanced software features that allow for easier acquisition of 4D CT images and suppression of artifacts caused by metallic materials in the patient's body.

"The investment in the CT simulator represents a significant step towards further improving the quality of care for our patients. This is the second purchase of a new machine this year after the replacement of the CT in the radiology department," said Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová, Director of Multiscan s.r.o.

The workplace where the examinations are carried out has also undergone reconstruction. The modernisation of the premises has brought especially more modern and comfortable facilities for the medical staff.

Supplementation and renewal of equipment aimed at increasing the capacity of diagnostics and technical preparation of treatment of oncology patients and the introduction of advanced radiotherapy methods into clinical practice is financed by the European Union from the Instrument for Recovery and Resilience through the National Recovery Plan of the Czech Republic.
