The new NÉA is coming out

29. 9. 2021

We would like to introduce you to the next issue of NÉA magazine, in which we bring you interesting interviews and news not only from our healthcare facilities.

In the main interview of the new issue, we talk to Tereza Krejčová, general internal nurse at the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun. This native of Beroun has been working at our hospital since she graduated from high school, and although she has tried her hand at other hospitals, she has returned to the Beroun hospital and enjoys helping out in her spare time. Her life attitude "I have to be always on the move" describes our whole AKESO.

We also recommend an interview with Josef Drgáč, who has been working as an orderly at Multiscan for more than 11 years and does not intend to leave it even at retirement age, and a story from the Hořovice maternity hospital, where doctors saved the life of a Covid-positive mother and her son.

For the second time, we have also enriched NÉU with a Science and Education section to introduce the work of our colleagues and to inspire others. In this issue, you can read about the work of Jana Djakow, MD, a pediatric intensive care physician at the Hořovice Hospital, who is the first Czech to participate in the European Resuscitation Council guidelines.

Our plans were not stopped by the winter or spring wave of the Covid-19 epidemic and we did not slack off during the holidays either. During this challenging period, we managed to open a new Diagnostic Centre in Nové Butovice, which not only provides comprehensive care for paediatric patients, but also offers expertise for adults. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art medical and laboratory technology. We are the only one on the Czech market to offer patients a unique opportunity to use special glasses during MRI examinations, which project selected audiovisual programmes to the patient during the examination. This is a state-of-the-art device that allows doctors to quickly and accurately establish a diagnosis without unpleasant patient burden and unnecessary time delays. In NÉA you can read, for example, about prenatal diagnostics performed by MUDr. Michal Polaček at the centre.

All this and much more can be found in the new issue.

We wish you a pleasant reading.
