The mentioned novelty, mainly for referring physicians, is the possibility of remote access to image documentation via the Dicompass Gateway web application from Medoro. Access to image documentation works through any web browser based on a valid commercial certificate and gives physicians access to patient data they have sent to Multiscan's radiology departments. If a physician does not have the appropriate certificate, it can be provided by competent Multiscan staff. The service is free of charge for referring physicians.
The electronic transmission of examination results via the MISE system from Stapro has proved to be a successful service. An account is required to use this service. As in the previous case, the authorised Radiology Centre staff member takes care of everything and contacts Stapro to request the creation of an account for a specific doctor. The service providing the electronic mailing is completely free of charge to the recipient.
An equally important service is the sending of image documentation via the ePACS network. Thanks to this service, Multiscan is able to deliver the image documentation of an examination to all devices connected to this network within minutes. The ePACS system is particularly advantageous for larger facilities such as hospitals and clinics. Facilities must set up an ePACS account separately at www.epacs.cz.
"Both remote access to imaging documentation and electronic transmission of findings offer a number of benefits to physicians. Not only does it significantly speed up the examination and treatment process, but electronic transmission makes the necessary information in one place and easily accessible. We believe that these benefits will soon be appreciated by doctors and will be to their benefit," says Vladimír Matýsek, Multiscan's computer department.
If doctors are interested in any of these services, they can contact Multiscan's IT staff, namely Bc. Vladimír Matýsek (matysek@multiscan.cz) or Ing. Michal Charvat (charvat@multiscan.cz).
