The Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre together with Pardubice Hospital forms the Comprehensive Oncology Centre of the Pardubice Region. It is one of the highly specialised centres in the Czech Republic for the treatment of oncological diagnoses. The opening of a new pavilion with clinical oncology outpatient clinics and a hospital for the application of chemotherapy and targeted treatment has only confirmed the reputation of the centre, which has the ambition to offer patients and employees not only quality care and the latest treatment methods, but also a dignified environment in which they will feel comfortable.
Guests from all over the Czech Republic attended the opening ceremony. In addition to the important representatives of the Pardubice Region, headed by the Governor Martin Netolický or the Regional Councillor for Health Ladislav Valter, this extraordinary event was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. Roman Prymula. The ceremony and the tour of the new building were also attended by representatives of the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre, Pardubice Hospital and hospitals of the Pardubice Region, the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice, representatives of professional societies, representatives of insurance companies and many others.
Words of praise and thanks for the activities of the KOC and Multiscan were not only heard during the official part of the programme from the guests who were asked to make a short speech and cut the ceremonial ribbon, but also from other attendees throughout the afternoon. The most important message from everyone involved is the common wish that the new environment meets the needs of the patients as much as possible and that the patients feel as comfortable as possible.
