The Czech Day Against Cancer has a long tradition and is one of the best known charity collections in the Czech Republic, as evidenced by the ever-increasing amount of money raised from the sale of orange flowers. This year, the Oncology and Radiology Centre has decided to financially support this year's event, as it fully identifies with the mission of the fundraiser and is aware of the importance of financial and moral support for patients fighting such a serious disease.
"When we thought about how to express our participation to patients in addition to our medical capabilities, we thought of joining the national fundraising campaign of the League Against Cancer. This is a very worthwhile project that has meaning and results and spreads much needed awareness among the public," says Multiscan CEO Ing. Pavel Pivrnec.
This year, the Czech Day Against Cancer is set for 15 May and is dedicated to lung cancer. On this day, volunteers will go around the Czech Republic and collect a symbolic CZK 20 for the purchase of a flower. Marigold blossoms will also be carried by Multiscan employees, who will also give them out to their patients free of charge.
The collection can be financially supported not only by physically purchasing a flower, but also by purchasing an e-flower by donating it by text message.
