Multiscan held the first meeting of the Patient Council

3. 7. 2025

On the first day of July, a meeting of the Patient Council took place at the Cancer Centre. With the participation of twelve members from the medical staff of the Comprehensive Cancer Centre of the Pardubice Region, patient organisations and patients of the Centre, the first meeting took place, which was a springboard for regular meetings. The aim of the Patients' Council is to connect the individual representatives and to work closely together for continuous development towards the patients.

"We see the establishment of the Patients' Council as a logical step towards getting even closer to our patients. With news, ideas, suggestions and mutual discussion, we have room to improve communication and information. Our centre is developing dynamically and we want the patient to be at the centre of the action and be an integral part of it," said Multiscan CEO Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová.

The introductory meeting was also attended by the Vice-Chair of the Committee of the Voice of Cancer Patients Bc. Michaela Tůmová, who explained the purpose of the Patients' Council and the roles of all actors in this project. At the same time, she highlighted the previous experience of the functioning of individual councils in the Czech Republic and contributed ideas based on the mutual communication between her organization and patients.

Regular meetings of the Patient Council will be held three times a year at the Multiscan Cancer Centre and the minutes will be publicly available on the Multiscan website.
