The opening ceremony of the 5th International Conference of Non-Medical Health Professions "Quality and its Perspectives" took place on Wednesday 18 April in the auditorium of the Faculty of Health Studies, on the premises of the Faculty at 395 Průmyslová Street in Pardubice.
Multiscan, which was a partner of this important conference for the first time this year, was represented by the physician and spokesman MUDr. Vít Ulrych, who greeted the conference participants in both Czech and English and introduced them to the medical facilities of Akeso Holding - the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre in Pardubice, the multidisciplinary hospital in Hořovice and the specialised rehabilitation hospital in Beroun. In his opening remarks, he thanked the Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies for his long-term cooperation in teaching radiology assistants and general nurses, and emphasized that our medical facilities are very interested in graduates not only of the University of Pardubice, but also of other universities in the Czech Republic.
The conference was attended by a number of leading Czech and foreign experts, with 39 papers included in the programme. Foreign guests came from Finland, Iceland, Slovakia and Turkey.
The conference also included a poster session with another 18 papers. The conference was aimed at academics, practitioners working in the health or social sphere and students of non-medical health disciplines.
On Thursday 19 April, the XIII National Student Scientific Conference of Bachelor and Master of Non-Medical Health Professions followed the international conference. Twenty-one undergraduate and graduate students from six universities from the Czech and Slovak Republic presented at the national student conference.
