Ing. Pavel Pivrnec.

In the following interview, the director of Multiscan Ing. Pavel Pivrnec discusses his tenure at the head of our company and talks about the projects that are prepared for this year.

Mr. Director, you have been at the helm of Multiscan for six months. How would you briefly summarize the results of the Multiscan Cancer Center in the past year?

I have been with the company for too short a time to adequately assess the results for 2017. However, I can state that the company is stable and shows a good economic condition according to preliminary results. I am very pleased that, according to the data published by health insurance companies in the summer of 2017, our Comprehensive Cancer Centre is one of the facilities with the highest number of patients treated and monitored.

What have been the most important investments in Multiscan?

There were no major investments during 2017, but we have been working on project documentation for new investments that will be implemented during 2018 and 2019.

What are Multiscan's current priorities and most important projects for the coming year?

In a very short time, construction work will begin on probably the most important investment project, which is the construction of a new oncology pavilion. Furthermore, the installation of an open magnetic resonance (MR) scanner for brachytherapy and therapeutic X-ray for the treatment of skin tumours and non-cancerous radiotherapy will be implemented.

In your opinion, what makes Multiscan unique compared to other regional cancer centres?

As far as I am able to assess it in relation to my short tenure in the company, it is primarily the availability of oncological care within the region, because Multiscan operates detached oncology units throughout the Pardubice Region, and therefore patients from more distant places can get the same quality of care as those from Pardubice and the surrounding area.

Is there anything you have failed to do or would have done differently?

In the coming period I would like to focus on even greater interconnection of all Mustiscan operations and I would also like to deepen the company's connection with the central management of the medical holding in Prague and with the owner Ing. Zavalianis.

The calling card of any healthcare facility is its human capital. How is Multiscan?

This is really the most pleasant question. Multiscan has top experts in the field of oncology and radiodiagnostics. I have been in the healthcare industry for some time and I know that the reputation of our facilities is really excellent, even in academia.
