Czech Day Against Cancer in Multiscan

15. 5. 2019

On 15 May 2019, the 23rd annual Czech Day Against Cancer, a nationwide public fundraiser organized by the League Against Cancer, will take place. This year, Multiscan joined the collection and purchased marigold flowers for its employees and patients.

All proceeds from the fundraiser will be used for lung cancer prevention and research.

"We are pleased to be able to participate in such a worthy project and to help financially in addition to our professional capabilities. Every day we meet cancer patients and we are aware of how difficult it is to fight the disease and how much strength the fight costs. We consider it automatic to participate in the fundraiser by providing financial assistance and buying flowers not only for patients but also for the staff and we will be happy to contribute in future years," says the director of the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre Ing. Pavel Pivrnec.

Nurses and radiology assistants were in charge of distributing flowers and informative leaflets to patients. Aware of the importance of the collection, they took on their role willingly and very well.

"The Czech Day Against Cancer is a well-known charity event that has a long tradition and importance, so I am glad that Multiscan took part in it. The nurses and radiology assistants welcomed the idea of flowers and so do the patients, who receive flowers from us as a treat throughout the day," adds Mgr. Barbora Švédová, head nurse.
