We are educating ourselves in immunology
The scope of our medical holding is really wide, which is also evident from our participation in various educational events that we either organize ourselves or actively participate in. The first of them, which we attended after the holidays, was the two-day North Bohemian Immunology Conference, which was held in Ústí nad Labem for the thirty-first time.
We participated in the prestigious European Oncology Conference
The treatment of cancer patients is provided throughout the Pardubice Region by Multiscan, which also has a detached workplace in the Hořovice Hospital. Oncology is thus at the forefront of our interest, which is closely related to lifelong learning and sharing experience with other oncology departments from all over the Czech Republic. One of such events, which serves for lectures on the most modern methods of treatment and for debate on oncological topics, was the European Oncology Conference organised by Zdravotnický deník. The discussion session Trends and innovations in oncological treatment and management of cancer care was attended by the Executive Director of AKESO Holding Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová, who, among other things, pointed out the importance of patient information, which should be above standard and repeated due to the severity of the disease, the priority of quick access to comprehensive medical documentation and effective organization of requested care before or during oncological examination.
We presented at the radiology colloquium

Breaking stereotypes in psychiatry
With the launch of the Mental Rehabilitation Centre in Beroun, the operation of the Ondřejov Day Psychotherapy Sanatorium and the launch of Mindwell, a digital application focused on mental health care, we are trying to promote the de-tabooing of psychiatric topics as much as possible. That is why we have participated in several events, such as the Přerov Czech-Slovak Psychotherapy Conference, where the doctor of the Mental Rehabilitation Centre and the President of the Czech Psychotherapy Society, Prof. Ján Praško Pavlov, M.D., CSc., spoke, or the 20th Psychiatry for Practice Conference held in Olomouc, again with the active participation of the lecturers prof.
