Changes to entry and exit points at Pardubice Hospital

Due to planned construction work – specifically the refurbishment of the car park by the lower gatehouse – there will be a temporary change to the traffic arrangements on the Pardubice Hospital site.

Closure of the lower gatehouse

On Monday 10 August 2026, the lower gatehouse will be closed and the construction site fenced off. The construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November.

Traffic arrangements from 10 August 2026

Access to the premises

Entry to the hospital will only be possible via the rear PKN gate on Komenského Street.

Exit from the premises

Exit from the hospital will be via the road between buildings no. 13 and no. 22.

To travel towards the city centre, vehicles must turn left past the PENNY supermarket. To travel towards Pardubičky, the exit will be via the right-hand side.

This change does not apply to the integrated emergency services, which will continue to use the main gate.

Modification of the car park in front of Building No. 3 and change to the direction of travel at Building No. 11

In connection with the change to the traffic regime, the car park in front of Building 3 (the maternity ward) will be modified. These modifications will ensure sufficient manoeuvring space for large vehicles to pass through and turn round, particularly delivery and refuse collection vehicles.

At the same time, the direction of traffic in front of Building No. 11 will be adjusted to ensure safe traffic flow.

We ask patients, visitors and other members of the public to exercise extra caution when moving around the hospital grounds. We also ask drivers to observe the traffic signs both outside and inside the grounds.
