"The collection site in the clinical oncology building has become popular because of its separate entrance and good accessibility from Kyjevská Street, but also thanks to the friendly staff. Every day we receive both patients who have made an appointment and others who come to us, so to speak, from the street. The successful operation is mainly evidenced by the fact that people keep coming back to us and regularly make appointments for tests in advance. The highest number of tests in one morning is over 300," says the head nurse of Multiscan s.r.o. Ľubica Elichová.
Our Multiscan Cancer and Radiology Centre, which started testing by the antigen method at the end of 2020, is now coming up with an extension of services in the form of PCR testing. Until now, it has only been offered to interested parties in the case of a positive antigen test taken directly at the cancer centre's sampling point.
"While we have responded to the government's decision of regular free testing twice a month, the main thing for us was the interest from clients. We are approaching the holiday season, which in many cases can only be completed with a PCR test, so we wanted to accommodate those who come to us regularly and do not want to get used to a different collection point," explains František Vlček, Director of Processes, Quality and Efficiency at AKESO Holding.
We will start testing by PCR on 7 June 2021 and, as with the antigen tests, this will involve a swab from the nasopharynx. Anyone interested is entitled to two free tests, or they must bring a request from a doctor or a hygiene station. They will receive the results of the testing by text message. A certificate in Czech and English will be sent to them by email within 24 hours of collection.
