The professional conference Controversies in Oncology offers space for other specialties without which the complex treatment of oncological patients cannot be done. Therefore, it was very beneficial to learn about the knowledge and experience of, for example, the world-renowned endocrinologist focusing on adrenal tumours , Prof. Karel Pacák, M.D., DSc, FACE, Dhc from AKESO holding, who worked for almost 30 years at the American National Institutes of Health, where he founded and headed the prestigious endocrinology research programme, Prof. MUDr. Aleš Ryška, Ph.D. from the Fingerland Institute of Pathology of the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical University of HK, who spoke on the topic of the present and future of predictive diagnostics in gastric cancer and GEJ, or the head of the Surgical Clinic of the 2nd Faculty of Medicine of the Charles University in Prague , MUDr. Jiří Pudil, who spoke about robotic resection of the liver and pancreas.
After a knowledge-packed day, a social programme awaited the conference participants as always. The musical group 4 Tenors was a great success this time and then, as every year, the James Band performed.
