Construction work on the new clinical oncology building is nearing completion

9. 7. 2019

After the holidays, the doors of the new clinical oncology building will open to cancer patients. More outpatient clinics, a modern and spacious inpatient ward and facilities for the necessary administration will bring significant improvements not only for patients but also for the staff of the cancer centre.

The three-storey building No. 24 on the premises of Pardubice Hospital next to the Multidisciplinary Pavilion is designed according to the latest architectural recommendations and standards for the provision of health care. The largest space will be occupied by the Department of Clinical Oncology with existing and new outpatient clinics and a hospital for chemotherapy application. However, the administrative part of the building will also be relocated. For the patients and employees of Multiscan Pardubice this means a larger and more comfortable facility, which until now was lacking mainly for cancer patients in the existing building No. 22.

"We are glad that we will soon be able to offer our patients the conditions for treatment that they deserve. We believe that the large premises, together with the modern, pleasant design and state-of-the-art equipment, will make the time patients have to spend with us more pleasant," says Multiscan spokeswoman Naďa Hloušová.

The first work on the construction of the clinical oncology building began in mid-2018 after agreement and with the support of the Pardubice Region, which owns Pardubice Hospital, and is fully paid for by Multiscan, which is investing approximately CZK 100 million in the new pavilion.
