The marketing manager of the club Marek Potěšil took over the organization of the event with great enthusiasm and determination. A big thank you to the entire hockey club Spartak Žebrák, headed by the chairman of the association Ing. David Jícha. "The event was held under the auspices of the City of Žebrák together with the management of AKESO holding a.s., whom I would like to thank once again for their support. I am very pleased that, as in the previous year, the event had a positive response from sponsors, players and spectators. Our goal is to raise funds that will go to the oncology ward of the Hořovice Hospital," says Potěšil.
Benešov and Žebrák entered the charity match in special jerseys, which will be auctioned off. The auction is being held on the Facebook page of HC Spartak Žebrák, where the special jerseys of the home players will be auctioned until Thursday midnight. Last year, the hockey players managed to raise nearly 93 thousand crowns and everyone believes that this year's event will be at least as successful. A portion of the entrance fee has already gone to support cancer patients, and additional funds were raised through a sealed box and the sale of club merch.
"Lev Benesov" will also be auctioning off their jerseys, everything will be done on their website, and like Žebrák, Lev also raised money. The total amount from both clubs combined will be known in early December," said organizer Marek Potěšil.
This year, the honorary casting of the bull was done together with the mayor of Žebrák by the head of oncology in Horovice , Martin Šmakal, MD."When Mr. Potěšil approached us with a request to cooperate in this charity project, I did not hesitate for a moment. I was happy to take the time and it was a great pleasure to start this charity match," says Dr. Šmakal with enthusiasm.
Almost two hundred fans watched the thrilling hockey duel, which did not go well for the home team. But that was not the point. The outcome of the contest was secondary on this day. The main mission was to support a good cause, and it succeeded.
