After other skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common malignant neoplasm in women. Recently, more than 6500 women are newly diagnosed with this disease every year in the Czech Republic and almost 2000 women die from it. Epidemiological trends in breast cancer have been characterised by a steadily increasing incidence and a stagnating to slightly decreasing mortality since the mid-1990s. The earlier the tumour is detected, the greater the chance of cure. This is also a reason to increasingly target prevention.
Every woman over the age of 45 is entitled to a repeat preventive mammogram. However, the period between two examinations is quite long, lasting a full two years. How can we take care of ourselves during this period? The instructions are simple, regular self-care costs nothing. It only requires a little time. You can perform it in the comfort of your home environment. It is nothing revolutionary, it is a familiar breast self-examination. You can find instructions for self-examination here, for example:

About breast cancer on Kunětická hora
Vít Ulrych also invited the audience to an event called On the Wings of Hope. The fifth year of the event is again organized by the non-profit company Kroužky East Bohemia. "We have been cooperating with them for the third year. The aim is to raise awareness of this insidious disease and to make the need for prevention more visible," says Vít Ulrych, inviting everyone to the courtyard of Kunětická hora Castle on Sunday, 5 June. In addition to valuable information, a cultural programme awaits visitors.
