A kindergarten for the children of employees opened this year at the Rehabilitation Hospital Beroun, the second kindergarten of this type in the AKESO holding, while its sister building is already located on the premises of the hospital in Hořovice. The kindergarten is intended only for pre-school children, so we organize suburban camps for schoolchildren every year.
"In order to be able to help care for employees with older children, who often have problems with babysitting during the big summer holidays, we repeatedly organise suburban camps. This year we held five of them. Three at the Hořovice Hospital and two at the sister hospital in Beroun," described Tomáš Petsinis, Chief Operating Officer of the Hořovice Hospital.
"My daughter was thrilled. The programme was varied and according to the story, the children were not bored for a minute. They did various tasks, went on a trip in the footsteps of Princess Ludmila and visited the animals at the Karlštejn Zoo," described nurse Martina S. from the Beroun hospital. "Our colleagues from the medical staff also showed them a piece of our work here at the hospital, where the children were able to try out proper exercises with a physiotherapist."
In Hořovice, children could choose from themed camps: Journey to a Mysterious Island, Journey Around the World and Journey to the Middle Ages.
"Placing my child at the camp in Hořovice helped me a lot. I was able to drop my son off before work and pick him up after work. Plus, he had a great time. I will definitely take advantage of the opportunity next year," described Alena Suchá from the hospital's HR department.
"Due to the size of the centre, the number of employees and the fact that our departments are located on the premises of Pardubice Hospital, we do not organise organised suburban camps," described Naďa Hloušová, spokeswoman for the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre. "However, we contribute financially to our employees for camps that they arrange for the children themselves."
