The traditional professional meeting of the Pardubice Radiology Colloquium, organized by the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice, was also held this year with the financial support of Multiscan s.r.o. and with the active participation of our oncology centre physician MUDr. Aleš Hlávka, Ph.D. About 70 participants did not miss the fifth edition of the conference, which took place again on 8 November on the World Radiology Day.

The Pardubice Radiology Colloquium, in the form of lectures and presentations by experts, tries to introduce not only students of radiological assisting to topics from their practice, discuss current issues and educate both Pardubice students and others interested in this field.

The morning programme included four different topics, the first of which was presented by the head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Pardubice , doc. MUDr. Jiří Doležal, Ph.D., who spoke about the radiological assistant as a patient's assistant during radionuclide therapy with radioiodine.

The second lecture of the conference on Stereotactic Radiotherapy was given by the head of radiation oncology of Multiscan MUDr. Aleš Hlávka, Ph.D., who focused on this highly specialized method of external radiotherapy, which consists in very precise application of high doses of radiation targeted to the tumor in a short period of time, which greatly increases the effect of radiation.

Other lecturers in the expert programme included, for example, Václav Novotný, emeritus radiology assistant at the Radiology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine, who spoke about gunshot wounds, biomedical engineer at the Radiology Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine, Ing. Milan Čech with the topic Patient centration during CT or Bc. Beáta Orsáková, who presented the radiodiagnostic workplace in Chrudim.
