Following confirmation of positivity in one employee, testing of Cancer Centre staff was conducted, which revealed coronavirus infection in eight other employees. Operations remain uninterrupted by the decision of the Regional Sanitary Station and the owner of the company.

"We are continuing with the regular regime as before, with all those testing positive immediately entering quarantine. As in previous months, we are following hygiene measures in accordance with the Regional Hygiene Station of the Pardubice Region. Our staff has respirators, we ensure regular hand disinfection and observance of a discreet zone when receiving patients. Accompanying patients to the ward is allowed only in exceptional cases," said spokeswoman Naďa Hloušová.

In addition to the clinical and radiation oncology department, the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre also operates a radiodiagnostics department at the Vektor Polyclinic in the centre of Pardubice, where not a single case of infection has been detected so far. The staff of the department, which also carries out CT scans in building 30 on the premises of Pardubice Hospital, is not in direct contact with the oncology staff, and we therefore recommend that patients who have been booked undergo the planned examinations without fear.
