The exhibition of photographs was held for the second time in the conference hall of clinical oncology in the Pardubice Hospital. "The idea of further use of the conference hall, where usually professional lectures take place and it is also used for teaching by students of the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice, came from the managers of our centre. The aim of the photo exhibitions is to make the patients' visit with us more pleasant and at least a little dispel the fears that are associated with the treatment," says Mgr. Naďa Hloušová, spokesperson of Multiscan s.r.o.
" It came with the midlife crisis. I always had the desire to start taking pictures in my head, but it was only three years ago, before going on holiday to the seaside, that I bought my first SLR with two set lenses. At the seaside I took a picture of a seagull in flight and it has stayed with me," Radek Broulík explained his beginnings at the opening.
Apart from Radek Broulík, the opening ceremony and introductory words were also given by the Executive Director of AKESO Holding Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová, who thanked the organizers of the event and expressed her wish for further continuation of this activity, and the head physician of the Comprehensive Oncology Centre of the Pardubice Region , Prof. MUDr. Karel Odrážka, Ph.D., who in an engaging presentation focused on the connection between medicine and birds through the history and symbols of medical educational institutions.
