"More than two thousand people were reminded of the importance of cancer prevention, not only by the short presentations of doctors Vít Ulrych, MD, from the Multiscan Oncology Centre, and Pavel Jandík, MD, but also by a wonderful and beautiful lady, for example, Associate Professor Laura Janáčková, from the Institute of Sexology and Partnership, and author of the book Life is a Struggle," said Květa Štěrbová, the organizer of the event and director of the organization Circles of the Czech Republic East.
The Chrudim sky turned pink with balloons for those who did not win the fight against the disease. Over twenty thousand crowns will be sent from Chrudim to breast cancer research thanks to the sale of products with pink ribbons.
The excellent and always smiling presenter Jolana Voldánová accompanied the participants for most of the day. Together with the Deputy President of the Senate and the director of the Svítání School, Miluše Horská, she presented the prestigious Wings of Hope 2014 award to an exceptional person, which for 2014 was Mrs. Monika Jará.
The photographs with the story caught the attention of every visitor right at the entrance to the airport. Each of the ten large-format photographs has its own distinctive depth, as does the entire project "People of Pardubice", which is signed by the leading Czech photographer Tomáš Kubelka, who also personally participated in the "wings".
The music of the band Sabrage with Julián Záhorovský or the performance of the ageless Heidi Janků were a great diversion for visitors of all ages. The positive endorphins were underlined by a great performance of Zumba instructor Mgr. Petra Tojmarová.
The children enjoyed several bouncy castles with a smile and in a relaxed way, or an unusual ride on a Praga V3S military car.
The star refreshments were provided by the masters of their field, namely the King Arthur's Tavern restaurant, fresh winners of the East Bohemian Restaurant of the Year award from the Apetit Festival. Visitors were also treated to delicious, traditional and healthy delicacies from Medovinky.eu, Marcel Gregor, and Circle of Health. The delicacies from Boat excelled with their grandiose taste, even though they are completely gluten-free!
In the evening of the special day, the Chrudim airport was the venue for the screening of the film The Four Agreements by Jaroslav Dušek, which was distributed and fully organized by the Kolín Municipal Cinema. "We are very happy for this, even though the last moments of this great film had to be cancelled due to bad weather. We would like to thank all our partners of Wings of Hope, without people and companies who are not indifferent to this strong topic, we cannot imagine organizing such a demanding but important event," added Květa Štěrbová.
