The programme of the party, which took place at the Club of Magic and Magic in Pardubice, started with a performance by the talented young magician Eliska and continued with two more performances prepared for the children by the regular members of the Club. The children enjoyed the magic very much, enthusiastically supported the performers and were happy to join in.
After the magical introduction, the children were visited by St. Nicholas, the devil and an angel, who gave them presents in the form of sweets and fruit. Although especially the younger children were afraid of the devil, they all bravely walked up to the stage to Nicholas for their reward. The event also included a tour of the Museum of Magic, which rounded off the afternoon programme.
According to the positive reactions, the St. Nicholas' Day party was a success and was enjoyed by young and old alike.
"On behalf of myself and my two granddaughters, I would like to say a big thank you for a wonderful afternoon of Santa Claus and magic. I was expecting enthusiasm from seven year old Eliska, but I was pleasantly surprised to be thanked by thirteen year old Lucy. At home, Elishka tried the magic of pouring milk into a cone, but somehow it didn't work, the milk didn't disappear even though she had a magic wand. So experiences beyond St. Nicholas afternoon," wrote Bc. Iva Kubátová, Quality Manager.
"My grandson Max is a natural entertainer who is not afraid of anything. However, I have to say that as time went on, when his name was to be called by St. Nicholas, he became considerably more serious. It was obvious that he was scared of the devil, but in the end he handled it well. I thank for myself and for him that we were able to attend this event," said the administrative officer for health insurance companies Ing. Eliška Tomšovská.
