The importance of this event is evidenced by the fact that it was under the auspices of MUDr. Svatopluk Němeček, Minister of Health of the Czech Republic, JUDr. Martin Netolický, Ph.D., Governor of the Pardubice Region, Ing. Martin Charvát, Mayor of the City of Pardubice and Prof. Josef Fusek, M.D., DrSc., Dean of the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice. The conference participants were also briefly greeted by MUDr. Tomáš Gottvald, Director of the Hospital of the Pardubice Region a.s., who highlighted the "non-controversial" level of cooperation between the hospital and Multiscan.
On behalf of the management of Multiscan s.r.o., the conference participants were welcomed by the company's director, MUDr. Jan Calta, who on behalf of the owner, Ing. Sotirios Zavalianis, thanked them for their participation and active contributions and wished the conference a successful meeting.
"During the two-day conference, a total of 25 leading experts from oncology departments not only from the Czech Republic but also from abroad presented their papers. Their presentations were of a high professional level", says Iveta Kolářová, M.D., Ph.D., representative of doc. MUDr. Jaroslav Vaňásek, CSc., Head of the KOC Pardubice Region, who was also an expert guarantor of this conference. The congress centre was attended by 150 oncologists, surgeons, urologists and doctors of other specialties. This year's conference was traditionally devoted to breast cancer, urological malignancies and colorectal cancer. New this year was the section on the organization of oncological care, in which the Director of the Masaryk Cancer Institute, Prof. Jan Žaloudík, M.D., CSc. and Director of the Institute of Health Information and Statistics doc. RNDr. Ladislav Dušek, Ph.D. The lectures of Fotios Loupakis M.D., Ph.D. and Prof. Dr. Vratislav Strnad, who shared their experiences from Italy and Germany with their colleagues, were very well received.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Pardubice Region, the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice, the City of Pardubice, the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic and health insurance companies. The event was also attended by Mrs. Alena Nováková, chairwoman of the Club of Oncology Patients in Pardubice, who thanked for the long-term cooperation with the Comprehensive Oncology Centre and briefly explained what activities the club offers to patients who are returning to a full life after treatment.
During the social evening, the popular singer Jana Kirschner performed, who delighted and danced the attendees not only with her beautiful singing, but also with her charm.
