Thanks to Belliska, the book You're Not Alone is also available to our patients free of charge

At the end of October, we welcomed representatives of the Bellis project, which focuses on young patients of working age who are undergoing or have undergone treatment for breast cancer, to our cancer centre. The Bellis came to introduce and give us copies of their publication You're Not Alone - A Guide to Breast Cancer, which thanks to them we can provide to our patients free of charge.

Bellis is a project of the Alliance of Women with Breast Cancer, o. p. s., which has been supporting young breast cancer patients since 2012 and providing support (both professional and lay) during and after treatment.

In addition to participating in professional conferences and organizing campaigns and events, Bellisky is dedicated to creating educational materials to help women as much as possible, not only at the beginning of their disease. A great contribution is the book You're Not Alone - A Guide to Breast Cancer, a unique publication created in collaboration with leading Czech doctors, which guides women through the disease from the suspicion of a tumour to the return to normal life after successful treatment. The book is not only for cancer patients, but also for their loved ones who want to understand the disease and be of help.

We are glad that the Bellis visited us and provided us with several copies of the book, which we can now give to our patients in the early stages of breast cancer treatment. We have been promised that once the books run out we can contact them again, for which we are very grateful.

The book can also be obtained through the Breast Cancer Women's Alliance by contacting a representative at nejsinatosama@gmail.com.
The book is free for breast cancer patients in acute treatment. For patients in remission it is 200 CZK and those who wish to support Bellisky and thus provide copies for newly diagnosed patients can buy the book for 400 CZK.
