Information for patients on the spread of Coronavirus - SARS-CoV-2

Due to the epidemiological situation in the Czech Republic, related to the spread of SARS-CoV-2 in Europe, we inform the public about the procedures set up at the Multiscan Oncology and Radiology Centre.

If YOU HAVE SIGNS OF RESPIRATORY ILLNESS (cough, fever, difficulty breathing, fatigue) and have been in areas that are declared as risk areas for the spread of COVID-19, contact 112.

Preventive measures

  • Avoid contact with sick people.
  • Avoid going to places where large numbers of people gather or are present, especially in closed environments.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 30 seconds before eating, after using the toilet or after contact with animals.
  • Observe respiratory hygiene (cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing with a handkerchief or cough into your sleeve - wash your hands afterwards).
  • Use disposable paper tissues.
  • Follow general rules for handling food.
  • Avoid going to places and markets where animals are handled.
  • When visiting a health facility, follow the instructions of the medical staff.

If you are experiencing signs of respiratory illness (cough, increased body temperature/fever, difficulty breathing, fatigue) and have been in areas declared as risk areas for the spread of COVID-19 infection:
Contact TELEPHONICALLY 112, or your general practitioner, or the locally competent regional health station.

If you have NO SIGNS OF RESPIRATORY ILLNESS BUT HAVE BEEN IN A LOCATION DECLARED AS A RISK AREA FOR THE SPREAD OF COVID-19, stay at home, monitor your health, limit contact with other people and contact 112 by telephone during the next 14 days.

Scheduled outpatient treatments at the Multiscan Cancer and Radiology Center

  • If you are experiencing the symptoms of respiratory disease and have been in areas declared at risk for the spread of COVID-19 infection, postpone your planned treatment and contact the local regional health post first and consult the epidemiology department.
  • If you do not have symptoms of respiratory disease but have been in the risk areas within the previous 14 days and are scheduled for outpatient treatment in a hospital, contact the local regional health post first and consult the epidemiology department.
