Last November, hockey players from Žebrák invited one of the best teams in the league , SK Tygry Černošice, to the ice rink in Hořovice. The match was held under the auspices of the town of Žebrák and its mayor Bc. Pavel Horázný.
In total, an impressive amount of 139 932 CZK was raised, which HC Spartak Žebrák donated in full to our oncology department. "We are glad that it is again a little more than last year. We thank the mayor for his support and all those who participated," said event organizer Marek Potěšil during the cheque presentation ceremony this week.
"We would like to thank the players of Spartak Zebrak for their support and the dedication with which they fight for our patients. We greatly appreciate all those who decided to support the Hořovice Oncology," said Multiscan Director and AKESO Holding CEO Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová.
The proceeds from the charity events of the hockey players from Žebrák further improve the facilities of the outpatient clinics for the patients and make the treatment itself more comfortable. "We have agreed with MUDr. Martin Šmakal, the chief physician, that part of the money will be used to purchase a 3D printer, which we will use for aids in radiotherapy and brachytherapy. Another part of the money will be used to make the oncology hospital in Hořovice more pleasant - for subscriptions to magazines and to complete the library," added Ing. Mgr. Martina Kulštejnová.
