We got books for cancer patients

As a token of support and thanks, the Regional Library in Pardubice has set aside a separate collection of books for us, which will be available for long-term loan in the Multiscan. This fund will be expanded at regular intervals so that the offer of books is attractive and varied for patients.

"With the gradual relaxation of anti-epidemic measures and the possibility of organizing cultural and educational events again, we are considering other areas of services that we could offer to Multiscan patients in the future. These include free tickets to library events or offering special educational programmes. In this way, we want to contribute to making the free time that patients spend in Pardubice for treatment more enjoyable. We believe that this is a valuable project and we look forward to continuing our cooperation," said Radomíra Kodetová, the director of the library.

"The priority of our centre is a satisfied patient. We strive to achieve this not only through quality care according to the highest standards, but we also want to offer something more. Cooperation with the Regional Library in Pardubice and the establishment of a library directly at our workplace is a bonus that aims to make the moments spent during treatment more pleasant. Thanks for turning the idea into reality go of course to the director and all the other library staff who have shown interest in our oncology patients with unprecedented willingness and helpfulness," said Naďa Hloušová, spokesperson for our centre.
