Temporary interruption of linear accelerator operation in radiotherapy irradiation rooms

Due to a technical fault, the operation of the linear accelerator Clinac 2100 C/D in the irradiation rooms in the Multiscan building No. 30 on the premises of the Pardubice Hospital was temporarily suspended.

Until the resumption of operation, patients currently undergoing radiotherapy will be irradiated on a second TrueBeam linear accelerator, also located in Building 30.Due to the urgency and importance of the treatment, all patients were rescheduled from the suspended machine to a functional machine, and three-shift operation and weekend treatment was provided. To avoid delays in treatment, selected patients will be continuously put into service in preparation for radiation.

We apologize for the complications. We will keep you informed about the resumption of operations, which we are working intensively on.

The good news for patients is that Multiscan Pardubice is planning to purchase a new linear accelerator in the second half of this year, which will further improve the quality of patient care.
