A rich accompanying programme was prepared for children, which delighted both young and old visitors. A big hit was face painting, which turned dozens of children into tigers, butterflies or favourite fairy tale characters. Visitors could also take part in guided tours, during which they learned interesting facts about the animals directly from the experts.
"We came with my daughter-in-law and my two grandsons, Willem and Honzik. Both of them are very excited and we like it here," says Jaroslava Beránková, a general nurse of the internal medicine department who has been working at the Beroun hospital for 40 years.
There was also a popular zoo tram, there was also a meeting with animals from special contact breeds and free refreshments were provided for the children throughout the time, which gave them energy for further exploration and fun. The children also took away small gifts from this extraordinary day.
"Despite the occasional rain, the mood in the grounds was pleasant and cheerful. The whole day was a day of sharing experiences, joy and thanking the staff for their daily work. In this way, AKESO Holding expressed its appreciation not only to them, but also to their families, who are an important support," said Lucie Lišková, Event and Community Manager of Beroun Hospital, on behalf of the organizing team.
