Fighting for healthy breasts

This year, Multiscan has been involved in two charity projects. In addition to the Czech Day Against Cancer, which took place in May, we supported the renowned and increasingly popular AVON initiative for healthy breasts by purchasing pink T-shirts for our employees.

"The idea to join the AVON project came from the nurses from the radiotherapy outpatient clinic. They formed a small group who wanted to buy the T-shirts and wear them as workwear, which gave us the idea to approach other employees, pay for the T-shirts and combine the pleasant with the useful. There was a huge interest in supporting the project," explains press spokeswoman Naďa Hloušová, explaining the birth of the cooperation with AVON.

In addition to doctors, nurses, radiology assistants and auxiliary staff from Pardubice departments, the project also involved detached workplaces in Chrudim, Ústí nad Orlicí and Svitavy.

"Our employees witness human suffering every day, but also the effort to fight. Naturally, the fate of patients touches them more than people who are not in direct contact with sick people. This project and its creation convinced us that we are working with people in the right place," adds Naďa Hloušová.

The pink T-shirts primarily serve as a ticket to the traditional AVON Walk, which is attended by millions of people in more than 58 countries to show support for women with breast cancer. Proceeds from the purchase of t-shirts and other special products with the pink ribbon go to the AVON Healthy Breast Initiative and are used to prevent and fight this insidious disease.
