Since 1965, International Nurses' Day has been celebrated worldwide on 12 May. This date refers to the birth of Florence Nightingale, who was the founder and pioneer of the nursing profession. This year has been exceptional compared to previous years in that the whole world has had to deal with and is dealing with a coronavirus pandemic and health professionals have been put under great pressure and danger. Therefore, not only to our nurses, but to the entire medical staff, a big THANK YOU is due.
